Trimax Pegasus S5 (722)
Roma Landscapes, based in Leicestershire, is a leading grounds maintenance contractor that has been using Trimax mowers for over two decades, from the early S1 model to the latest Pegasus S5.
Managing Director Roberto Binini needed a mowing solution that could increase capacity, reduce downtime, and enhance performance across a wide range of sites – from local authority parks to expansive showgrounds. Since upgrading from the Pegasus S4 to the Pegasus S5, Roma Landscapes has achieved faster operations, improved manoeuvrability, and dependable, season-after-season reliability.
Learn how Trimax has helped Roma Landscapes boost productivity, deliver precision cutting, and maintain exceptional results across diverse terrains.
Performance Built for Productivity
For Roma Landscapes, efficiency and scale are both important. Covering up to 100 acres per day, Roberto needed a mower that could seamlessly move between wide-open spaces and tighter, more complex areas. And the Pegasus S5 (722) proves to be the perfect fit. “The main key features I love about the 722 [is] its size for a start, so you can cover 17 acres an hour, no problem,” Roberto says.
Along with boosting overall productivity, the Pegasus S5 stands out for its manoeuvrability, which makes all the difference on busy sites. Its wider tyres and standard deck lift (QuikLift) make it easy to hop over curbs, cross roads, and move effortlessly around obstacles. Even with its size, the mower still operates with precision. “A decent operator can get it [into] a pretty awkward spot, and you can still cover a large amount of ground and use it like a five-metre in some aspects. You can also cover the big areas just as quickly, no matter what obstacles you come across.“ Roberto explains.
This efficiency enables Roma Landscapes to handle a wide range of projects, from small school fields to 120-acre showgrounds, while staying on schedule.
Engineered for Durability and Low Maintenance
The Trimax Pegasus is built for long-term performance and reliability, helping contractors like Roma Landscapes run their operations smoothly with minimal downtime.
With fewer grease points and zero daily maintenance features such as the Titan roller bearing and auto-belt tensioning, the Pegasus S5 makes maintenance faster and easier.
The switch to Nexablades has also improved performance, reducing debris and removing the need for double cutting. Roberto reflects, “Customers are happy, and ultimately if they’re happy, then I’m happy.”
Customer Support That Delivers
Roberto values and appreciates Trimax’s dedication to customer support and fast service responsiveness. “I can’t fault the support and after-sales service. They’re always there when I want to give them a call. They answer the phone straight away and direct me to technical support — it’s great to be able to talk to a technical person straight away without needing someone to come to the site. And if a site visit is required, it’s arranged promptly so we’re back up and running as soon as possible.
After more than two decades of partnership, Roberto stays a firm believer and advocate for Trimax: “If other companies aren’t using a Pegasus, I’d strongly recommend booking a demo to see what it can do for them.”
